I'm sure I can get it resolved today.Īs I remember, it's the 2007c patch that fixes the blue triangle. I had to do some calling when I put 2006 on a computer at my church so that I could edit parts when necessary on the spot. So I can't get the patch.I am getting a nice blue triangle when I try to switch from the mixer view.

I have to contact customer support today to get my 2007 registered it seems that my 2005b Serial and old Password aren't working to get me into the site. If you decide on 2007, make sure you have the latest patch. However, since you already have the software, the machine, and the OS, why don't you just try it? My personal opinion is to run the latest version you have, unless there is a specific reason not to. You're FAR more likely to have issues running Finale on WINE than you are running it on Windows 7. "It takes a really good drummer to be better than no drummer." - Chet Baker I'm tempted to just stay with 2005b since all my music is pretty much in that version. Since I purchased 2005, 20, I was wondering if there are any opinions on which I should use. I had noticed when I was on this forum more that many people stayed on Finale 2005b rather than upgrading because of different issues. I may try one of my versions using WINE on that open source OS. Unfortunately it has crashed and I am going to put Ubuntu Linux on it. I have been using 2005b since I never had the processing speed to utilize the GPO on my previous computer which had Windows XP.

I saw the sticky thread about compatibility with Windows 7 and was wondering if anyone here is using it, and the issues that occur. I just got a new laptop and it has Windows 7 installed.

These on-line forums are intended for the exchange of ideas among the users of MakeMusic products. Unfortunately, no such maintenance release exists for the free NotePad version. On ebony and ivory I'll tinkle all day longīlue triangles affecting staff brackets have already been addressed in the Finale 2007a maintenance release. I don't know if NotePad can do this alteration.
In Finale, you can lose the triangles by reducing the "resolution" of curves to around "16" in the options menu. On Ebony And Ivory I'll Tinkle All Day Long I would suggest that this be moved to the top of MM's list, if it isn't already there.įavorite Forum quote: "Please, everybody, IGNORE THE TROLL!"
It seems to affect all of the 2007 products not for every user, of course. This blue triangles thing has gotten completely out of hand. Try viewing at different sizes, or anything that changes the view. Unfortunately, you can't do anything with the brackets in NotePad. PrintMusic 2004, 20, Windows XP Pro, Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS, P4 2.6 GHz + 1 GB The blue triangle is a bug that affects some setups with late model Finale programs it is linked to the staff brackets - sometimes it helps to delete and re-create those (not sure if you can do that in NP).įor you second question see the sticky topic at the top of the list titled "Add more measures to add more pages".
